Re: Your Top 10 ST Drivers from the era
Not sure I could name that many. My most favourites were Rickard Rydell, Tim Harvey, Steve Soper and Matt Neal.

Re: Supertouring era BTCC Entries/Rumours that never happened
We did a podcast episode on rumours from the era. It has a few more bits to it than the article too. https://pod.fo/e/207ff5 I started listening to that particular podcast last night. Haven't finished yet, I was too amazed to carry on listening when it got to the part of Gary Cole planning to enter...

Re: Supertouring era BTCC Entries/Rumours that never happened
It was a different Gareth Howell. To prove as such, the one who raced in the 2000s was only 12 in 1993. I thought the Janco Opels were supposed to race in 1998 with Johansson and Brunstedt? It was - correct. Will dig out the pics at the weekend. Hope this link works. https://web.archive.org/web/200...

Re: Which of the BTCC seasons was your favourite during the era?
1998 though that's a bit biased on my part because Rickard Rydell was my favourite and he won the title that year.
From an unbiased perspective, 1995 as that year was when I really got into the BTCC.

Or even 2008 when they were originally supposed to enter F1? Drivers would most likely have been Pedro de la Rosa and Gary Paffett though Bruno Spengler was also briefly linked to the team.

Re: Supertouring era BTCC Entries/Rumours that never happened
I believe that was a different Gareth Howell to the one who eventually did race in BTCC in the 2000s. I also remember reading in Autosport that a Swedish team running Opel Vectras and with Thomas Johansson and Peggen Andersson as drivers was going to make a couple of "cameo" BTCC appearan...

We did a podcast episode on rumours from the era. It has a few more bits to it than the article too. https://pod.fo/e/207ff5 I don't really listen to podcasts, that's the thing. That's a real shame. Our rare exclusive with James Thompson was a brilliant episode. :) He talked about his agreed move t...

Greetings
The first BTCC race I ever watched was the opening round of the 1993 season at Silverstone and I have been hooked on the series ever since. My favourite driver of the Supertouring era was Rickard Rydell and I was so happy for him when he won the title in 1998!

Milos Pavlovic claimed to have signed for USF1 alongside Jose Maria Lopez.

But then so did James Rossiter.
Adrian Valles was also mentioned at one point.
